Please join MHNA for our quarterly meeting, annual soup supper, and food and clothing drive at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, at the Northwest Community Center, 5110 Franklin Ave. We will be joined by a Neighborhood Finance Corp staff member and will announce another guest speaker in the near future.
The soup supper will begin at 6 p.m. The meeting will start at approximately 6:30. If you would like to bring soup, another dish, or dessert, please contact April Beck by email at hawkifan87@yahoo.com, or 515.707.6386.
We will also collect food donations for the less fortunate at our October 20 meeting. The food we collect will be donated to the Des Moines Area Religious Council’s Food Pantry Program. For more information about the most-needed food items, please visit: ht…tps://www.dmarcunited.org/movethefood/
Once again this year, we will collect winter clothing for elementary school children in the Merle Hay neighborhood. Please help us “Keep the Kids Warm!” We will collect money, coats, boots, stocking hats, gloves, and mittens. We plan to deliver the clothing donations in November. For more information about the clothing drive, contact Kathy Battles by email at kmbattles@msn.com, or 515.865.3040.
