MHNA’s 2018 Meeting Dates
MHNA holds its quarterly membership meetings on the third Thursday of January, April, July, and October. Meetings are generally held at 6:30 p.m. at the Northwest Community Center, 5110 Franklin Ave., unless otherwise noted.
There are two more chances this year to join us at a quarterly meeting. Please save the following dates:
- Thursday, July 19
- Thursday, October 18 * 6 p.m. start for annual supper.

Please mark your calendars for the Merle Hay Neighborhood Association’s next quarterly meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, at the Northwest Community Center, 5110 Franklin Ave. We’ll have neighborhood news, public safety updates, and lots more. Our guest speaker(s) will be announced at a later date.
2018 Membership Dues
MHNA membership dues for 2018 are payable in January. Costs for membership are as follows:
- Individual: $15
- Couple/Household: $30
- Business: $30
- Church or School: $10
MHNA membership is open to anyone who lives, rents, or owns property, and to businesses within the neighborhood boundaries. Non-residents may join, though they may not vote. MHNA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Dues and donations are tax-deductible, and can be paid in person at association meetings, or mailed to:

The Merle Hay Neighborhood Association will host its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, at the Northwest Community Center, 5110 Franklin Ave. We will be joined by Des Moines Public Works Director Jonathan Gano, who will share details about the myDSMmobile app, which allows citizens to report issues and problems to the city with their mobile device.
We will also have neighborhood and public safety updates, our annual report, and officer and board member elections. Please spread the word and plan to join us on January 18!
